The Integration Era

Imagine a world where everyone is watched, judged, and rated...

Welcome to the Integration Era. Just over a century ago, on an uninspiring planet just inside the forward edge of mankind's expansion to the stars, an alien installation was discovered. The world was barely habitable. The installation was found by miners drilling for core samples, evaluating potential profits, not looking to change all of known space.

When they realized it was an alien artifact, the local Corps and the 'Garchs ruling the nearby systems took notice. An alien find had given mankind improved FTL engines. They swarmed the site to assess its potential. Interest waned quickly. It appeared dormant, only of archeological interest.

This was when the scholars took over. Guarded in the harsh environment by a small security force, they spent weeks at the site.

Then it woke up.

Not with a bang.

In an instant, every human in the galaxy received an overlay. Within days, every overlay reported what those humans were, measured and quantified by six stats. Designations were offered or assigned. Every person waited for the System Apocalypse to arrive.

A century later, they're still waiting.
